4!

Wouldya look at that! You weren't expecting this! A moose. A mineral! A dream.
I decided I needed a rock type and instead of going for the thorny devil (I wanted to, I really did), I instead decided to parse wikipedia's short list of minerals. I eventually settled on bismuth for its iridescence and unique shape, but I did find some really neat minerals in the process! I also did a quick google search to see if anyone had done a bismuth fake yet, and was somewhat disappointed that nobody whose images could be found on search had. That settled it.
There were a lot of cool minerals though, and I could make a really excited rant detailing my findings, but instead I leave this short list of other cool minerals that didn't make the cut for my fellow fakemoners to utilize! Go make a mineral fake. Do it.
-Hydromagnesite (second runner up.) This one can form balloons!
-Stibnite
-Ammolite
-Rhodochrosite
-Opal
-Obsidian
-Lodestone
-Heliotrope
-Biotite

But I was being fairly selective. I encourage you all to go look for a mineral of your own to turn into a fakemon! It was a lot of fun and the possibilities are endless. Freebie of making a sea urchin from a mineral that forms a spike ball.

Anyhow.
Bithmoose have been hunted from ancient times for their meat and for their antlers, which are highly prized and can fetch obscene prices. Their golden, iridescent bodies are seen as something of a figure of northern beauty and are iconic of Cajiro's northern wildernesses. Despite being grazers, they can be very aggressive and utmost caution should be exercised around them, especially during mating season and in the presence of a parent and child. As Bithmoose age, their mineral protrusions and armor become more winding and intricate. They can cause problems in winter due to their light coloration, when unwitting passers by may accidentally elicit aggressive behavior. They are a huge vehicle crash hazard as well. Settlers initially took them to be legendary because of their majestic appearance. They make their homes around caves and frigid forests.
