Fyrvil are rarely seen and said to come from a demon world. They are most active around 2 am, causing havoc, moving objects, and setting fire to other things. Interestingly, they understand an unparalleled number of languages (not simply limited to what languages their trainer, if any, may speak). These languages include ones that have been dead for centuries or have never been by the likes of humans until a Fyrvil begins to chatter unsettlingly in it. They can be very pliable for those of strong will and are capable of affection even for those that cannot control them, but for the most part they do not indulge in what a human might describe as friendship. About once every century or so, they gather in massive groups and turn skies an eerie blood red. Due to its rarity, the habit is not well documented but it has been cause of much panic and has been seen as a terribly bad omen in ages past.
