hello friends i have returned

Thanks everyone for the well wishes as I traveled the country for Comic Con! I had a really lovely time hanging out in San Diego itself, and of course the con itself was super fun! There wasn't much to do as far as panels were concerned on Thursday or Sunday, so I mostly just wandered around the exhibit hall with my brothers. I did learn that I do need to update the visibility in my Yoshi costume though! Speaking of, if you've seen any pictures with/of me posted or took some yourself, I'd love to see them! I had a really great time that morning and we even blocked traffic at one point because everyone wanted pictures lol. I think I'm gonna have to go back! I'd like to put a homestuck cosplay or two together, Jane and maybe like Fef or Nep, so I'll see what I can get in prereg. May as well capitalize on this year's good fortune in scoring tickets.
Of course there is a second reason for my eagerness to go back, which would be the fact that my vacation was kind of shat on halfway through by the death of my grandma. She was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer about ten months ago, so she'd already beaten the odds by about seven months. Either way, she's in a better place now and we're all really happy for her, but it still isn't the kind of thing you want to be called about when you're trying to have a good time. We still did though and didn't have to cancel any of our plans. It essentially just meant that instead of sleeping in on Monday I had to go across the state for a funeral! That's the reason for the delay in writing this.

But yup! All good otherwise. I start college in a couple of weeks so I need to start sorting that stuff out, buying books and dorm supplies and whatnot. Commissions will probably close until I can adjust to college living but hopefully that will only require a semester or so. It's not like I get too many commishes to begin with haha.
