UPDATE: With many thanks to for giving me enough reasons to hit my fix capacity (aka 1 lol, I had my own 2), I fixed it: On the list being the body's pillow shade (thanks, Twitch! Sometimes I don't notice my own pillowshades- hope it's better now), the back leg (might I say it makes it look less large as a pokemon?), and the head (the "nose" was far too high). As a bonus fix, I also redid the arm things, something I realized was glaringly suckish in comparison to the art. I hope it looks even better!!

We have to thank for this... he'd be the one who inspired me to actually pick up a 96x96 canvas in GIMP again.
The result, as you can see, is Metile. The sprite's a little off in a few ways that probably only I can see.

Ah, to be back in territory where I know how to shade! I think that's the thing about Sugi-style that's kept me doing it so much. It's an adventure!

I look at the little segments of metal on this guy and kind of laugh to myself about how much it looks like a pillbug. Speaking of which, someone go make one of those as a pokemon! I refuse to count Venipede and Whirlipede as one. Poison/Steel maybe? I don't know, just someone go be inspired!
